Expert and sport categories
Round 1: “freestyle through the rapid”. Each paddler will start above the sluice and paddle downstream and obtain 3 designated eddies to score points. Points are firstly obtained by breaking out into the specified eddy and then additional points are scored for performing a maneuver in the specified list (which I have) when exiting the eddy. Paddlers will also be given one chance to surf onto the wave from a designated eddy and perform a single move from the list of moves in the main freestyle competition.
Round2: The sport and expert categories will be separated based on the rankings from round 1. heats will consist of 10 paddlers in 15 minute heats with a round robin style operation. There is a max of 30 seconds per run and if you get flushed out you cannot re-enter the feature. Runs will be done on a next in the queue style system and queue jumping is strictly prohibited, any queue jumpers will be disqualified.
Rankings will be based on the top two runs from the heats. Scoring system is on a variety only basis with each move only being scored once in each direction.
Moves are taken from the international freestyle rules.
Double points for linking moves
