Hi everyone! Best wishes from Poland! It's more than 2 months already... WOW This time is running definitely too fast:) This weekend there are Academic Championhsips in mountain kayaking on Kamienna River in Poland - I guess sth like your intervarsities. However, here are only river running on WW 3 up to WW 4+ (depends on level of water). Here you have some photos: www.bystrze.org/gallery/06%20AMP%20Kamienna/index.htmlSo, when are you coming to Poland for paddling? Hope to hear from you soon! Maati

4th in WW, and what about other competitions? Nevertheless - GREAT JOB! what can I say about WW in Poland - unfortunately I didn't take part in it:) Not this year. I had some stuff to do - the end of kayak course which I organised so it was good idea to be present at the end of it:) But next year, who nows:) College, hmm... I prefer not to talk about it:) I have just finished some essay about random walking:) And drunkard walking problem:) Nice:) About other subjects - the examination session in Poland is at the end of June. But during the nearest two weeks I will have one exam (because one of subjects ends in the middle of term) and three mid-term exams as well. Live of student is extremely difficult, don't you think so?

We entered the other events too, didn't do too bad. In the polo we lost in the first round to Trinity(i think it was anyway), they went on and came 3rd in that event. In the Long Distance we entered 4 boats, got a few points from that, we pretty much all came within the top 10 of our events apart from john who went talking to people along the course instead of paddling. We weren't able to enter the freestyle on sunday cos we couldn't get the boat there and John didn't get a chance to practice on the Curragower Wave. Other than that tho twas a very good weekend.

hehe:) Tell me, please, how many teams entered the competition? Just for being statistically correct:) And do I want to know, why you weren't able to paddle on Sunday? You weren't able. After watching some pictures, I believe:) Most important having fun! That's true!

I think there were about 16 teams in total. It wasn't cos we were too hungover or anything, we just couldn't get a boat out to the middle of Limerick cos it was too far away and we had no way of getting the boat into the city.
